Still
(This is a little poem I wrote on Dec 2001 -
"written after the stillness and peace of my room suddenly struck me…. It’s raining heavily outside… I can almost feel the wind that’s crashing against the trees… yet in my room, the air is still; there is absolutely no movement… even though it is in such a mess… as though time had stopped suddenly…")
Still
Peace. Quiet.
Harmony of silence.
Cluttered, yet empty:
Blissful stillness.
Objects frozen in action’s hurry,
Time is measured by raindrops and ticks.
Chaotic adventure outside,
Blissful stillness inside.
Beautiful silence;
Unbroken and virgin.
Oblivious to life;
The world unacknowledged.
Content to rest unchanging,
Unmoving and uncaring.
A city frozen in action,
Feeling the still breeze.
Content to rest in peace.
Forget the day’s trials.
Leave all aside and relax
In silent slumber.
Life tries to break in,
But it rests still
